So right now I am waiting at Dayton Intl Airport for a group of veterans to return from sightseeing in Washington D.C. An amazing not-for-profit organization called Honor Flight takes WWII, Korean and Vietnam veterans to D.C. to see the memorials for their respective wars since they are the heroes for which the monuments were made. With these veterans aging and dyeing before they get a chance to see the memorials, Honor Flight is trying to help as many of these veterans as possible get to Washington D.C. I am here with my family and friends to help welcome them back. There are tons of active duty Air Force personnel from Wright-Patt among all of the well-wishers. People are lining the hallways back to the entrance of the terminal. It should be a great time to see the veterans' faces when they get off the plane! Check out the Honor Flight website to learn more about it!

I heard about that from my employer and I thought it was a really great idea. I'm glad you were able to attend. Those veterans deserve the welcome back.
